A Fabulous Contest

04/04/2010

I was using Stumbleupon to ease my boredom when I found this.

The worldwide Mr. Gay contest. Hosted in where else but Norway.

(Damnit, Norway, stop hogging all the fun contests. Canada wants some cool contests to host too. Olympics only comes every four years.)

Look at all those fabulous men. Simply gorgeous.

To be Mr. Gay, the contestant must :

shows an interest in the world and people around him;

displays patience, has a compassionate and considerate nature;

embraces change, or things and people different from his own frame of reference, experience or cultural background;

can articulate his thoughts and conduct an intelligent conversation;
has a basic innate charm and sparkle;  (are you reading this, Edward Cullen?)

is special, and authentic;

has poise and is secure with himself, without coming across as arrogant;
is the ambassador that his nation and local community is proud of;
can be a diplomat of goodwill;

has natural leadership skills;

he inspires his peers and people around him;

is willing to take risks and become something larger than he had imagined;

is willing to have fun, push his personal comfort zones, and meet many wonderful people around the globe and be part of a very select and special group of men;
he is Worldwide Mr. Gay

Just thought to bring that interesting factoid to everyone’s attention. I wonder if theres a worldwide lesbian contest…

(Global Marijuana March starts in Toronto in a couple of days, I think.)

*Oh my god, Annie. WHY does Norway get all the fun? First the Pants, now this.

But I would just like to say:

a) There’s a delegate from CHINA? As in, the People’s Republic Of Communists who worship the Sexy Chairman Mao China? Really? And the government agreed? No. I refuse to believe that.

b) Aww, don’t you just loveeee the one from Switzerland? That dude seriously looks like he was born to be Mr. Gay.

…Come hither, you.

I mean, his name is Tobias Dickenmann. Dickenmann. It’s meant to be.

Don’t you just love it when something’s so perfect? It surely makes me very happy. ;D
